BMI Presents: Industry Insider - “How I Produced The Record”, a panel with top music producers to discuss their many roles including controlling a recording session, overseeing musicians, mixing and mastering and more. The event will feature special performances by the artists the panelists produce. The cost for the event is $10 advance, $12 day of show.

Taylor Momsen (performer): You’ve probably seen this young star on the CW’s Gossip Girl, fronting the band The Reckless, or gracing the cover of Seventeen Magazine. When she’s not touring, you can find Taylor working on her full length album with producer Kato Khandwala, which is scheduled to be released in 2010.

BFFs, I’m live from Fashion Week and loved Jill Stuart’s new collection, which was very Gossip Girl.

In fact Jill Stuart had two Gossip Girls in her front row, Michelle Tractenberg and Jessica Szohr , who watched her runway full of minis-to-the-max, over-the-knee boots and short-fitted ruched dresses. Jill admitted she was inspired by Gossip Girl, which her 14-year-old daughter loves to watch, but when I asked her which celebrity she most wanted to wear her clothes, she answered: “Taylor Momsen!” So Taylor, you’re already in oversized short jackets and thigh-high minis — it would be a marriage made in fashion heaven!

“Gossip Girl” star Taylor Momsen took a break from playing Jenny Humphrey to play hostess at the Victoria’s Secret store in SoHo, New York City. She was helping launch the lingerie giant’s new rocker-chic fragrance collection, Love Rocks. The actress/musician — she fronts The Pretty Reckless — stole a moment away from the catcalling throng of photographers to chat with StyleList:

StyleList: How does your style differ from Jenny’s?
TM: My personal style has morphed a lot of Jenny’s style. Jenny’s style has transitioned into more of Taylor’s style as the seasons have gone on.

Jenny has more of a polished Upper East Side look than I do and I kind of like everything a little bit messy.

SL: What would you want from Victoria’s Secret for Valentine’s Day?
TM: Love Rocks [the new fragrance]! I don’t have a boyfriend so I’d have to buy it for myself. It’s perfect for a Valentine’s Day gift — the packaging is pretty and the scent is amazing.

SL: What’s your biggest fashion faux pas?
TM: Uggs. I don’t think it’s necessary to kill a baby lamb for shoes! But they are really comfy, and I’m not going to lie, but I do occasionally put them on when I’m on set.

The Love Rocks scent features plum, violet and vanilla flavors infused with sweet smells of peony, jasmine and peach nectar. The packaging is very rock ‘n’ roll—a bold red lacquer bottle adorned with tattoo-inspired graphics. The black rosette is detachable to wear with your hottest rocker outfit.
