Spotted: Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen donning a leopard coat and talking about “Chace” (presumably meaning Crawford) on W 22nd St (Momsen supposedly lives in Chelsea). Apparently Little J’s style has had a bit of influence of previously child-star-style-tastic Momsen. Momsen was also donning large celebrity-esque sunglasses.

Though Taylor is, in my opinion, the second most fabulous female star on the show (first being Leighton Meester, of course), she’s done little to propel herself to total stardom. Her costar Blake Lively, who’s on the cover of W Magazine’s December issue, has been all over the place, and even Ed Westwick snagged himself some publicity via an ad campaign with K Swiss.

Does Taylor perhaps wish to propel herself in a different direction than that of her costars? Earlier this year, Momsen signed with IMG Models, and recently, she graced the cover of Crash Magazine wearing crazy makeup and overdone eyebrows reminiscent of the Jonas Brothers. A quick visit to the IMG website reveals Taylor might just have what it takes to make it in the modeling world. Girlfriend’s got the coltish look with legs that go on for miles, and her test shots aren’t half bad. We might just be on to something…

The question remains, however, whether Taylor can really move a product. That is, she’s pretty and all, and she know show to throw a teenaged hissy fit way better than an other star her age (see: Jenny Humphrey storming out of her family’s Brooklyn loft onto the streets of DUMBO), but can she sell a $5,000 bag?

Guess we’ll just have to see where Little J ends up. Remember, Taylor, the modeling industry may be pretty on the outside, but it’s what’s on the inside that counts, and the inside of the industry isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Just wanted to warn you.

Taylor Momsen, who plays social climber Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, raises a few eyebrows in this new photo shoot for trend-setting and fashion magazine, Crash. The headline for the mag reads: “On Gossip Girl, Taylor Momsen spends her days sidling up to the feline in-crown. Off-camera, though, the youngest model ever signed to IMG couldn’t care less about playing it cool.”

I still have a hard time believing that this girl is just 14, but she is, and Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen’s career is in full-swing. As the show’s struggling-to-fit-in ingénue, Jenny Humphrey, Taylor’s proved that she has some serious acting chops. Now the teen dream has scored a contract with IMG Models, to go along with her role on one of TV’s hottest shows. There’s no info on what exactly Little J will be modeling — whether it be clothes or shoes or Neutrogena products (doesn’t it seem like they all do that?), but we’re pretty sure Queen B Blair is not happy about it.
